Coming upon human-made items such as water pipes, wells, foundations, water tanks, walkways, steps and boundary markers, the farther from civilization the better is, for me, one of the joys of hiking. This past year I began to go extensively off trail at Wildcat Park in Richmond CA, and with this blog hope to document both those examples found and still-to-be found.

My goal is to locate each example, provide the location via GPS, describe the setting, and photograph the item.

I will also be describing non official trails, many of which must be taken to reach the subjects.
